If they bought the cost down a good bit many people would take it up but every July up it goes and people start to pull out. Our health system here in Australia over the past 10 or so years has just gone down and down with hospitals closed, staff shortages but costs rising in part due to the top people getting paid very high salaries. Systems put in place that are not logical or workable in many cases. The age care sector is a disgrace. It is time to put someone in charge to go through it all bit by bit and get solutions that are workable yet still cost effective without limiting the care required.

I have one close friend whom I met because she is my caregiver. She has lived in this area for years, but I never met her before. We absolutely love each other and share pretty much everything! God works in mysterious ways. Her son and granddaughters are good friends now too! I finally have a family again!

No, they are public servants, so are paid by the public to serve. They are all on good money, and apart from nurses have very good hours and benefits. If you aren't happy in your job then leave, but of course they won't because they never get sacked and their super will provide them with a very good income, while they are comparatively young, for the rest of their lives. I always worked in the private sector where you daren't strike in case they worked out that they could do without you and if your weren't happy you looked elsewhere. I buy via reliable sites like ebay & PayPal I also have a separate bank account and transfer money into it for each sale. This way I have the protection from PayPal, Ebay, Debit Card and Bank if anything goes wrong. In 15 years I have very few problems and those I have had resolved fast , if seller is a problem, paypal or ebay step in and refund and I just dont use those sellers, I also like the fact that you can check how good the seller are buy feed back, So I never buy from anyone with less the 99.0 % satisfaction. I think that we as a society have become more self centred and poverty and grief, if we don't actually SEE it, becomes "out of sight and out of mind". We have been conditioned over the past 20 months or so to fear one another because we might "catch" something and because of this fear for our own health and our family's health we don't go up to someone and ask them if they're OK or if there's something we can do for them preferring to do, as I believe one of the Health Officials for government stated "don't stop and talk to anyone, just do what you have to and go home", something I thought was atrocious at the time and still do. If we lose our humanity then who cares if we get sick or not! Our isolation has not only caused the suicide and raging mental health crisis we now have in our country and around the world but a pandemic of loneliness. More people, not less, will be mourning this Christmas and, for them, I pray that Christmas passes quickly. We all have a choice to make as to whether we shut the curtains and keep out the world or do we contribute in whatever way is possible for us and help at least one human being today? Choice is ours!

I think there has to be a balance. Teaching is hard I know as some friends and my mum taught. My mum would make learning fun and exciting, wore costumes to make the children laugh. She would read in funny voices and make games up. Maths is a hard subject and not a favourite for me and I also think for a lot of people. We have too many gadgets these days so we aren't using our brains and knowledge because gadgets do it for us. Give a child google and they can answer any question you ask, ask them to use their imagination and come up with some thing unique and they are stuck. Spelling is another problem and we have touched on this subject before, how can we teach children when their parents have called them some weird misspelt name no one can even pronounce let alone spell either.

Also, if people who offend do have to always pay reparation as well as having to pay people money for the emotional and other harm they have caused will have an effect of meaning that people are less likely to offend. I have heard others say that if you shop at Woolworths close to closing time a lot of things get marked down so they don't need to pack them in the freezer or cold room. I have managed to get things at both Coles and Woolworths that were marked down quite a bit both meat and other pantry staples. In the situation you are mentioning, I have a a blind friend. She was born blind. I can converse with her about anything (and I do converse with her about anything). She mentally toughened me up for life (it is what best friends do for each other), and assistance me in pulling out the assertiveness that was in me out. Well, if the parent had actually paid for the 4 year old to join, then if you had any extra gift bags, sure, why wouldn't you give the uninvited kid a gift bag? She did pay for them to join in. But she cant expect you to have extra if she did not inform you with enough preparation time. The parent who added her 4yo kid to the party should just ask her 6yr old invited kid to share their gift bag with their younger sibling and explain honestly to their kids why. Am sick of parents not being honest with their kids and not being considerate enough to ask a host beforehand if it would be ok to add an extra guest. Getting to sleep is very much like the type of dreams you have when you fall asleep. The length of time it takes to get to sleep depends entirely on things like medical conditions, the amount of stress you were under that day, problems in your life, noise around you, and how active your mind is when you go to bed. The best way to get a good night's sleep is to try to clear your mind of all worries before going to bed or failing that, to listen to some relaxing music in bed. NO eating for at least one hour before going to bed, NO computer use for at least one hour before going to bed, leave your mobile ( cell ) phone in another room, NOT worry about things you have to do the next day instead write a list of those things before going to bed. Having said all of that, I am the type of person who cares about others and worry a lot about things which are going on in the world and it takes me between one and four hours to get to sleep ( Living on a highway with traffic all day / night does not help either ). As a result of this, I average 3 to 4 hours of sleep at night, then I get up and do surveys, then do whatever else I need to do that day then have 2 to 4 hours sleep during the day. Counting sheep does not always work for some people because if you go to bed hungry then while you count the sheep they might start turning into lamb chops LOL

I honestly thought this was already happening. We are eventually going to run out of space for graves in our cemeteries, as interesting as it is seeing the historical graves from over 100 years ago it may come down to those sites needing to be reused... More and more people seem to be opting for cremation nowadays however, so maybe it won't be as big an issue as predicted... Cemeteries may well become more for those that are religiously inclined. Yes, I think the customer service definitely has declined when I tried to get hold of Vodafone to sort out some problems. I was put on hold every time when I called its call centre and I had to wait for 45 minutes on one stage. They seem to enjoy transferring me to different departments and promising the next department will help me. I ended up having to speak to 4 different people in one occasion and I was told different stories by those 4 people. There are no email addresses to contact Vodafone. I could only use the online virtual robot option and eventually it still requested me to call the same toll free phone number that I could never get help with. The problems were never solved and I have given up.

It's the same here in Australia too. There is a closed down school near us with a house all boarded up. Yet there are people screaming out for some where to live, homelessness has gone through the roof. It's just a waste and because no one is using the school it is going down hill at a great rate of knots. There's even a tennis court, why couldn't some government department turn the old school into some accommodation for the needy even if it is only a temporary fix. At least it would be being used again instead of rotting away before our eyes. The owners of any run down building or premises should be made to clean them up. My parents had a vacant block in Brisbane and Dad used to get letters from the council to clean it up and people used to dump stuff on it. I remember helping them clean it up and I fell over some tyres that some body had dumped there. They ended up selling the land because they received a good offer on it and it then saved them from having to maintain it too. So where is the fairness letting other people get away with not maintaining their properties? I guess letters don't get passed on to the owners but after a certain amount of time has lapsed surely there is more they can do.

I have no problem using bamboo cuttlery because being a plant it should dispose quicker than plastic. I dont taste any bamboo on the cuttlery and if you dobt enjoy using put a set of cuttlery from your homes to use. Crops are failing due to inclement weather either drowning the plants or drought drying them out. Water is and will continue to be restricted for farming and even the growing of rice, a stable food item on the menu of billions of people all around our planet isn't forgotten by the architects of this intentional disaster. There IS a war on food and if you and your loved ones WANT to eat in the years to come you MUST make ready now before supply slows and rationing becomes widespread. Experienced all the big quakes in Christchurch 2010/2011. The 7.1M/depth 10km in 2010 was at 430am. I woke instantly and knew - I genuinely thought the house was collapsing so ran outside although that was hard to do. I thought my heart would explode it was beating so fast. I left the doors open overnight for a month after that. The 6.3M and 6.1M /depth 5km earthquakes that killed nearly 200 people in 2011 was mind-blowing in its violence- you were glued to the spot by the gravitational forces. I was in the kitchen at work and clung desperately to a doorway. The noise was totally deafening. It was just random luck if you happened to be in a structurally safe building or not, whether you were safe, injured or killed, how damaged or liveable your home was. The shallower the earthquake, the worse the effects. After months of aftershocks (had about 10000), I naturally only took direct Drop-Cover-Hold action for quakes longer than 5 seconds and over about M4.5. I started hyperventilating at the occasional bigger ones only several years later. I only ever had nightmares about tsunamis and not earthquakes- go figure. I am still wearing a mask - in public - because hundreds of people are still dying from Covid19 on a daily basis in USA. When my children were pre-teens my husband was very often away, often for months at a time with the RAN so I ruled my home with an iron rod. If I hadn't my life would have been hell. They were children and had rules and rarely needed to be punished. There was no acting up or swearing, they were allowed out to play but had a time that they had to be home. I really didn't ever have a problem with any of them and they were church goers. They are all married now with children of their own, they were never in any trouble, didn't do drugs and were not drinkers. They also stayed at home until they married which was late in their 20"s. My mother always said I had turned my sons into sooks but their wives tell me a did a brilliant job with them. Because dad was usually not here my boys were quite close to me and were always very helpful to their mum. One rings 2 or 3 times a week for a chat.

Too many apartment buildings going up in our area. We are close to the city and now the lovely old houses that are on larger blocks being torn down to replace with ugly apartment buildings. They will never last as long as these houses have and what is even harder to take is that all the lovely old trees are being cut down. It will soon be a concrete jungle. These buildings de-humanise the area and within a short time look dirty and shabby.

I do not regret but at times realise that they are just not me so I give them to Lifeline. All my good clothes I no longer wear I give to the charity shop. I actually have 2 bags in my boot ready to go there but I still have a bit of my robe to go through.

Being together without contention and not having to be doing something special to have good, quality time with your family. It's the little things that matter most. Sure doing activities is great. But it isn't a prerequisite to quality time with family. Just be....and appreciate each other.

Yeah why not. A robot wont cough/breathe covid onto my food, pass on hepatitis or be rude. In Japan they have these robot waiters which are remotely connected to customer service people - some of which have disabilities, so it gives them a job plus merges the human aspect of customer service into the android. I thought that was quite neat.

I quite like the short surveys about new product or advertisement concepts, they usually pay reasonably well. Also the Red surveys usually give me 30 points compensation when screened out.

I'm not impressed by them. You still have to make the cars and that involves the usual stuff. You have to generate more electricity to accommodate the increase in electric cars and of course outlets all over the place. I guess we need the cons and negatives to really understand if there are any actual benefits. Of course, the world is probably running out of oil so this could be the impetus to change the fuel. My car is 20 years old and I just had it serviced and checked and it is in good nick. Mind you I have not even reached 70000ks yet so I do not drive much and most of those k's were in the first 10 years. lol

It is a common term of politeness but I do struggle to come up with more than "Good thanks And yourself ?" But I do find the greeting between blokes The "Hey how they hangin ? " A tad harder to reply to
