If I could effect just one person's life for the better in any way, and impact them enough that they strive to do the same for someone else, then i think I could feel content with my life. For me the true highlights of life are found in the small things, the things most people don't even acknowledge exist or have no appreciation for at all. To be more specific, for me, Music has brought the greatest aspects in my life, as a drummer I had a really good teacher that enabled me to be able to teach others in the same or similar ways. I found value in the pets ive had growing up, in particular a Burmese cat, Oscar, when I was age 14, he picked me as his favourite out of my whole family and made me a cat person, I now have my own cat named Oscar and he means the world to me. The worst thing ever pulled was against my Dad. It would never enter his mind that someone - especially someone who supposedly loved him - could or would ever be so cruel. He and his girlfriend at the time had been talking their future and whether or not they should get married and move in together, selling one of their homes. They always decided no, they both liked their homes and couldn't agree on who would sell. One day this woman came to my Dad and said she's thought about it some more and she will marry him and sell her house. He was happy that they could be together and he could keep the home he'd built for his family. Once she had him totally hooked and getting excited about the prospect of this she goes, "April fool!!". He was humiliated! Shocked! Angry! This was the worst thing playing with his emotions like that. I'm not sure that I've forgiven her for it just yet because I still get angry at her for that when I think about it. Their relationship always had that scar on it and he never again asked her to marry him. They still went out a couple of times a week for a while but he started introducing her to new people as 'my friend' and not 'my girlfriend'. I never liked April Fool's Day because most people don't know how to prank well... putting sugar in the salt shaker is okay but nothing harmful in ANY way... physically, mentally, emotionally, etc. It's just mean and unacceptable.

chef on tv? why wud anyone beleive ANYthing they are saying, they are trying to make a living. they r not the real source of truth. almost all foods have an amt of protein, so are just more easily digested than others. Animal proteins are very hard to digest, and can't be used by the body until they are broken down to amino acids. (this takes alot of energry away from other thigns the body has to do) ...its why we feeel like we are going into a food coma, after a huge (usually protein meal), all energy is diverted from all but essential body organs. Most plant proteins don't take nearly as much to digest, except for beans. Not only are they hard to digest, they are also hard on the kidneys (like animal proteins are). Bottom line is, if you still want to eat meat, cut down substantially. We do not need the amt of animal products we eat these days. U will save ur kidneys and be much healthier. Doctors are only human - When I was 60-62yrs I had been feeling less than 100% and had been to my doctors multiple times, with a ton of tests - Blood test just about every visit. After more than 12mths of this I ended up in A & E Hospital with very low body temp and was having "Rigors attacks". After many hours the Hospital staff confirmed I had UTI. Doctors NIL - Hospital 1. Doctors DONT GET IT REAL all the time (Just sometimes)

Definitely. I was sitting at the back of the bus with my best friend when these 2 guys got on and one sat next to me. I was reading a comic and as I turned the page he said "I haven't finished reading that page" so I let him finish reading it. He asked what I was doing the following Saturday and I told him my baby brother was having a Birthday party. Apparently he looked for me on the day and couldn't find me. The following week my friend and I were walking in town when a bus stopped, where they aren't meant to, and he got off the bus with his mate. We started going out that day. I was 13 and he was 15. When he actually saw where I lived he told me he used to live at the bottom of our street and saw a young girl collecting the newspaper from the front lawn one morning and couldn't believe it was actually me. We got married when he turned 21 and we were together until he passed away from cancer just before his 63rd Birthday. It's been almost 5 years now and I still miss him. Especially his big warm hugs.

This is a bit of a mixed up discussion topic. Mental health issues and domestic violence are two different things. Mental health issues do not lead to domestic violence. Domestic violence is about power and control, and can be exhibited in many ways, not just physically, and not just by men towards their partners. It does however frequently lead to mental health issues for those who have experienced it or been exposed to it. Getting adequate and timely support for mental health issues, for men, women, and children is not as easy as people seem to think it is. There are long waiting lists to get the appropriate help, and sometimes it can be difficult to even understand, yet explain to another person what the problem is. I agree that boys are a bit confused as to what their roles in society are meant to be at the moment. The rules keep changing, and people keep telling them that they are \u201cbad\u201d, because they were born make. Especially if they are white.

Excuse me!? I think you will find most long distance truckies are the most considerate and consistently safest drivers on the road. It is the impatient arrogance and rudeness of other road users that cause the accidents and other issues on the road! These giant machines weigh an awful lot (tons) and they require both room and space to stop their vehicles and/or turn corners, especially suburban intersections. They also have large areas of 'blind spots' where they simply cannot see cars & other vehicles - just like blind spots in a ar, on.y bigger. There are many empty industrial buildings which could be modified to make "low cost housing" but many of the homeless feel they do not wish to live with their fellow man due to mental illness. Our charities do their best to provide food and short term housing for as many as they can but the provision of mental health assistance has become even harder in Australia since Psychiatric hospitals were closed.

Hi APB I live in a Ryman Retirement Village called Keith Park in Hobsonville in Auckland. We have a 3 bed apartment, two bathrooms, and a patio, total 112sq meters and we have two car parks. Our village will not be finished for at least another 12 months, We are ground floor for our two cats who also enjoy living here. There is nothing beige here, the building look bright and modern. Google us to see. We have so many activites Ryman have employed a full time person to organize them. We play bingo on Monday nights. Nothing depressing here it is all go go go. Nothing is too much bother for the staff they even water our patio garden when we are away. It is way better than some hotels we have stayed in. With their security there is little chance of a break in or your car being stolen. That gives you cheaper insurance, all in all its a WINWIN situation.

I have been having unusual dreams and de ja vu since I was very small. The most disturbing was a reoccurring dream of a close friend going away,for about 3 months every night this included other people and places they went . A couple of days before I saw a horrific car accident but was constantly pushed back from the flashing lights and crash scene.. My friend was killed 3 days later,same car same accident,and everyone in the dream did what I saw. I have never been the same

Not including psychological issues, many people don't eat intelligently, meaning with understanding of what combinations of food to take or when. This often makes a difference.

I wouldn't have to adapt, as I do not rely on the internet, yes I use it on occasion, but I still have the ability to use a land line to contact friends and also to hop in the car and visit and I love reading and playing games with the grand kids and great grand kids, and life would be more relaxing when you didn't have to worry about scams and AI, also I very rarely shop on line, love going into department stores, trying on clothes and getting the correct size without having to pack up and return and wait weeks for hopefully the correct size.

It's difficult to give you any advice, as I don't know your skills, experience or any training you may have had or what industry you are looking to build your business in. As for me, I have been self-employed since the mid 1980's and started every business I had without any capital to draw from. One of my most successful businesses is one I started during a recession when people were losing their jobs and companies where closing down. My advice is to start small and simple, then build on that as opportunities arise. It seems everyone wants you to install their app to get deals. I was at a pet food store and the cashier told me about their deal, but I need to install the app and scan the QR code. I said no thank you lol. I don't want a bunch of apps on my phone, plus, it drains the battery.

I am retired. I am attending college (online) - I should matriculate in June of 2026 with a BA in 2026 - if I am still above ground at that point. I travel (aboard) during the summer months (I reside in the Northern Hemisphere). Mostly, I enjoy being a LAZY BUM!

I up-sized eighteen years ago when I stopped full time work. I went from a nice two bedroom unit in Sydney to a spacious, open living space with an upstairs (master bedroom and ensuite, living area and deck) and downstairs (two bedrooms, bathroom, laundry, kitchen and large dining and living area. Deck at front of house, side of house wrapping around to back of house all with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. (3 min walk to beach ion central Qld coast). Whenever I walk into a "normal" house now it always seems pokey and small. I would not like living in a small space again.

Solar panels are somewhat of a con trick. It costs a fortune to get them installed, then you need an expensive battery to store the power for when there is no sun. You need to keep the panels clean for best efficiency (difficult since they're usually on the roof), even then the panels and the battery *will* wear out and need replacing. Even worse, they claim it is "green" energy, yet making and disposing of the panels and batteries is hideously polluting. Best not to bother and just stick with regular mains supply. If you can (not possible in New Zealand any longer \ud83d\ude41), use a government owned supplier so you aren't being charged excessive amounts simply to fill the greedy pockets of the electricity company's management and shareholders.

I used to really enjoy tinned smoked oysters. But then I noticed that the only brands stocked come from china. So I've stopped buying them. I also have noticed that some products imply by sneaky wording that they're australian, but you can tell by their australian product number, the barcode with 13 digits under it on the package somewhere. if it starts with 93 it's australian and 95 for nz.

I don't worry about the could of, would of. I'm grateful they're healthy, respectful and work hard (aged 21 and 22). If it wasn't for their dad (RIP) and I being who we were they wouldn't be who they are. I am proud of our sons', flaws and all.

I'm mostly worried about the children growing up with so much technology. When I subbed, I saw kindergartners given tablets to "DRAW"! What about the smell of a crayon, and learning to mix paint colors to make different ones (green+red=brown)? They aren't using their BRAINS anymore! ;-(

Making money and wealth are two different things and neither are necessarily the answer to happiness. Depends on your definition of making money too. A dollar or a million dollars a day? Opportunity, falling into your lap or created, and mentoring. Intelligence and mental acuity. Knowing how to work smarter not just harder. Learning how to make money work for you, not you work for it. Luck. I've had money and a dream life, then lost everything and we ended up homeless for a time, because my now ex-husband ended up with a brain injury then a fairly rare dementia and I cared for him instead of looking out only for me.
