I love watching The Chase Australia and enjoy testing my own knowledge to the questions presented and am estatic if the contestants win their overall game.

I wish Robin Williams was still around, just to hear him say "Good morning Austraaaaaliiiaaaa!!! But seriously the world is not looking great at the moment. At least the news has something else to talk about other than climate change

Great topic Liane :) Great laff at the 7 teeth. Just slippin' this song in as i used to make words up for bits i couldn't quite get.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BciS5krYL80 and Rains in Africa by Toto- i used to ad lib that one quite a bit. Hubby has some trippy speakers these days and i can pick up lyrics i used to never know :)

Sounds good if you can afford to, better work life balance, but production is directly linked to inflation, less production, higher inflation. Can you imagine , its hard enough as it is now, its been shown that lower production has caused many a countries into dire situations

What is Book Tok? I'm afraid those of us who are of older generations don't understand the modern terms that are used. I love books and reading though , and while I prefer real tangible books I will also read Kindle.

There are safety issues too in the event of crash...I was told that the power supply needs to be disabled before trapped people can be cut out of electric vehicles...and I haven't forgotten the "smart" Tesla whose door failed to open when it hit a tree....everyone present had to watch the poor Doctor inside burn to death....my petrol driven car uses less fuel than a hybrid...might be worth waiting for a hydrogen powered car?...Hyundai already make them....or cold fusion? ...GREAT SCOTT!!!

I lived in the country and I was not happier. Anytime we had any type of medical problem we had to travel for an hour for treatment. Anytime we wanted to shop in a large store we had to travel for an hour. Our fuel cost more as did many other things due to transport. We had 2 TV stations and one local radio station. There were far more drugs around than we ever saw in the big smoke and our children got a better education and better jobs. Even 20 years later our friends who remained there still had to travel for some medical appointments. The only thing we did miss was the beach and stopped going once we had moved. Far too many people at suburban beaches.

Yes it is bad for your health but it has superior cooking qualities. Cast iron is the safest of all the metals if you're not prone to overdosing on Iron so it's great for women of reproductive age and growing children (due to needing extra iron) but not so great for men. The most inert material you can cook with is soda lime glass or borosilicate glass. Stay away from leaded glasses which leach lead.

Soon as they were invented they became adult toys. Kids don’t suddenly wake up one morning and say “I think I’m going to invent a game.

It is disgusting how many people are trying to scam others out of money on social media. Remember : If it sounds too good to be true...it probably isn't true!

What pisses me off is when I finish the survey and I am not given my due points. Then get the excuse of not have finished the survey which is not true. I feel like giving up rewardia.

When I suggested this topic it was ignored. Perhaps it was the way I framed it. I am a cat person and while I have had dogs it's cats I can't live without. My 16 year old lady left us last September so I now only have 5 boys. They are all rescues so come with health problems but I love them, not like children but family members who are animals. My one rule is that they don't have human names, and I never use the same name twice, the name also has to suit the personality. All 5 have long fur which annoys my husband as he feels they shed, they don't really as they usually leave it on chairs or clothing. I have always had at least one cat other than when I lived overseas. All of the cats has it's own personality and all 5 own me. They are neurotic, bossy, fussy but love unconditionally and get very annoyed if we go away for any reason. They are very independent, dogs are far too needy for my liking, but they know if I'm not feeling well and will stay with me even if they have to hiss and growl at anyone that attempts to get closer. They help me garden, they always want to go with me when I walk and will hide so that I can't see them until they get frightened by a car or dog and I hear them crying. I had to carry one home from almost a block away one day and the bus scared him so much he almost got away from me. They are sticky beaks who have to know where I am at all times. They help me when I'm sewing or making the bed, oh that's great fun, they also enjoy a feather duster, getting into drawers, cupboards and washing baskets. I was missing one once and looked everywhere for him but I was pretty sure he hadn't left home. The following morning I turned the dryer on to air my towels and I heard a loud banging and when I looked his little face was looking through the dryer door at me. He had gotten in while I left the dryer open as I took the towels off the clothesline the previous afternoon. I hugged him so hard as it could have ended quite badly and he was very forgiving but hungry. Ny eldest son keeps birds and doesn't like cats, he says they are sneaky, my daughter has no pets but prefers dogs while my youngest son must take after me and has 5 cats. My grandchildren call me the crazy cat lady but they all love my cats. The feeling sadly is not reciprocated.

Really ? Bill Cosby, O.J.Simpson, Martha Stewart, Harvey Weinstein, Oscar Pistorious, Robert Hughes, Gary Glitter, Rolf Harris and I could go on. I know people raise these topics for the points but come on. Put some thought into it.

We had a brand new house we rented to a couple with 2 children for 4 years while we did our trip around Australia and I would never rent any thing again. The amount the real estate said was normal wear and tear was just total BS. Who can blow up an oven in 4 years? Tried to fix the water tank after their puppy chewed the wires, totally failed to any way. So with short term rentals I think the damage could be worse and I would never do that because there is no respect for other peoples belongings. Use and abuse then some of the better tenants are tarred with the same brush. Like most things there is always some one whom will spoil it for every one else. I read about a couple with 2 children and another on the way having to live in a tent because there aren't any rentals available in their area. It's sad and temporary housing needs to be arranged for these people. As much as I wouldn't rent any thing again surely there are others that would. Some are selling up as interest rates rise and this will only add to the problem but then a first home buyer gets a chance to buy. Rent is dead money so if the younger ones can buy it is better but then are they still going to be around that area in 3 or 4 years? It's a hard one that is for sure.

I don't understand why Elon and Twitter is such a big deal. Not to sound condescending but the majority of the world don't actually care about Twitter. On a side note: Notice how almost every time Elon is reported on in the news etc he is either doing some very silly dance or pulling a weird face when they show footage of him? Doesn't matter what channel. Does the media feel threatened by him or something?

Two months ago I was getting a sore gut and became best friends with the toilet. I am now officially lactose intolerant which sucks. I used to drink two litres of milk a day. I will still eat my favourite 'creamed doughnuts' as a treat once a month and handle the consequences. Run Forrest Run!

It’s my own idea to follow like a sheep, in fact I love sheep, slow roasted with duck fat potatoes and green beans…..lol

It would be okay if you could choose to have four VERY SMALL bins. Otherwise I’ll have no backyard left. Living on my own, it takes me months fill a large council bin, and I resent the large bins taking up so much space.

You are not strange. We are all on the spectrum. Some a little crazy, others totally nuts. It only becomes a problem when it leads to dysfunction in your life. Labeling oneself can be detrimental because it is limiting. They are designed so professional people can group a set of behaviours easily. Do not take it seriously unless it becomes debilitating. Remember all these little quirks and traits make up the unique person you are.

So long as Governments, politicians and self-styled Do-Gooders who think they know better than everyone else stay out of the way and keep their mouths shut we have all the freedom we need. Abolish Political Correctness, allow people to think and say what they really think. Abolish the Greatest Curse ever visited upon Human beings: Religion - at least Religion as it is today which has been bastardized again by people who think they know better than everyone else, who deliberately misinterpret and selectively use parts of books such as the Bible, the Koran etc. to persecute others who don't agree with them.

I have accepted many stray cats over the years. They keep me sane, make me laugh and have different personalities. They have different mannerisms and like a variety of music. One I have at the moment loves Mick Jagger singing the blues lol The other one I have to sing his favourite song as HE tucks the sheet under MY chin. Only then he will roll over and go to sleep (bossy bum Maine Coon) LOL I also feed the local crows that have learnt to yell out to me at the front door when they are ready to eat lol I have had to bury many animals which is heart breaking but I wouldn't have missed a day being with any of them. They have given me far more than I gave them.

I slip, slip, slap. Spent most of my life in Nth Queensland & have a certain amount of tan that is permanent. If you're going to lay or be in the sun try not to do it between 11 & 2. A certain amount of sun each day with SPF is healthy, a particular level of brown isn't.

I was the first woman to be a tram conductor in South Australia - at the Tramway Museum, before the public transport service employed women. I also was apparently the first woman to be seen driving a tour coach in Victoria when I was on tour there with a group during my coach driving days. I was the topic of conversation in Bendigo and Echuca for a few days.

As long as the child does his or her own homework. Often I found parents had done the homework for the child, and what is the point of that. Homework is a valuable way to practice skills learned in class. If the child can't do the homework, the parent should inform the teacher so those skills can be revised until the child is able to do the work independently. Also, I agree that excessive homework is not good - a maximum of half an hour should be long enough for primary school students.

This type of 'fashion' is geared towards the young; not mums and dads who look utterly ridiculous wearing them (nothing worse than mutton dressed as lamb) .......... apologies if this comment offends

I just want to know why they have to put all these weird things in our foods! Seems like we are all guinea pigs.

My trip to Hawaii was cancelled last year and I do want to go while I am still young enough to drag my bag behind me but there will need to be next to no Covid out there. I don't want to go anywhere that requires sticking a stick up my nose, and I don't want to have to wear a mask, quarantine in my room for even one day and I certainly don't want to end up in a hospital in a foreign country. So no overseas travel for me for sometime yet.

Well they will try hard to make this mandatory like the rest of their sick plans for one world government

I am in my 70's and we had it back when I was a teen. I started work at just turned 15 and I paid for my clothing, transport, board, health care etc. At 21 if you were not married you were being talked about as being left on the shelf. Always been pressure put on everyone but the trick is to ignore the pressure and live your life as best you can with a good conscience, respect for family and yourself and never let friends influence you in ways that are not healthy. These days I think people should put their phones down and start talking to people. Influencers as they are called are just wanna be's who really do not know much anyway but seem to get a following and many become quite rich because of this so called fame. It used to be called keeping up with the Jones's back in my day and that was something I never aspired to. I still don't. There will always be someone prettier, have a better figure, be taller, have a better car, house, job etc. I guess you have to learn to be satisfied with what you have and improve it if you wish by common sense approaches.

i believe they go by the council valuations on setting the price for houses. Its the council that is at fault, making the land more valuble which in turn they set the price for how much people pay in land rates.

I had 5 children who are now aged between 28 and 39. When they were growing up I and my now ex husband had his Italian father living with us. He had worked so hard all his life after being a prisoner of war in WW2 and became medically retired by the time my eldest daughter was born and she is now 35. Because his wife abandoned him AND the 2 children who were 3 and 5 at the time and there wasn't a pension available for him to recieve in order to be able to keep his family together, the children stayed with grandparents and great grandparents on their mothers side, and sometimes in the Catholic orphanages which were very cruel as was their maternal GM. By the time I met my children's father at age 15 Giuseppe would leave at 4:30 am and bot arrive back until about 6pm at night and then go to bed and start all over again. I mention this because it's important to the story. I didn't fully realise until about 20 years ago when I gained a little perspective and started to head into my 40's just what a wonderful man I'd been blessed to know. As I had more children my FIL would do the laundry, being fully retired now, the cooking, a lot of the cleaning and garden maintenance, including having a large vegetable garden that fed us fresh vegetables. Because of this being waited on hand and foot my children didn't learn to do the chores which I had learned to do, without argument, since I was a very young child. I am not lying but stating a truth that my husband grew up very lazy and unmotivated and this, combined with their grandfathers constant help, prevented my children from developing a disciplinet hat I had in spades having come from a typical nuclear family of the 1960's with traditional gender roles. My children have however developed their own discipline and now are functioning members of society and appreciate just what a blessing they did have growing up with a grandparent living with them. Giuseppe too got what HE wanted: :a family with children he could help raise and be at home with to watch them grow! My children talk about their grandfather often and his ashes sit not 2 feet from where I write this in bed having lost him at age 97 3 years ago. But children enjoy getting mum a nappy or "folding" up a face washer or carrying swmething for whatever parent is taking care of the child at the time. It gives them happiness and pride in their achievements and that's ALWAYS a good thing! Thank you for reading this and have a nice day.

I do not believe in that at all. You can be attracted to their looks but love is a totally different measure.

it sounds that some states don't have the flashing amber to warn the drivers that the lights will be changing to amber so they can start to slow down before you get to the intersection and these days every set of lights have cameras, and red lights regardless to the situation a fine will be issued

These days I doubt a mentally unwell person would get through the screening process in NZ to become a police officer. I am concerned about those serving that get PTSD from the job, which is common. How are they helped? PTSD changes people's lives for the worse in an instant and it's also culmative. I believe it can be as high as 35% of police have PTSD and associated depression.Today I was watching the trial of the person who killed Constable Hunt a year ago and wounded Constable Goldfinch.Watching Goldfinch today give his testimony he obviously has PTSD he was shot a number of times and lost his partner. He's still in the force, I wondered if he's getting any help. That concerns me.

Didn't someone once say "the law is an ass"? A very simple statement but there is no simple solution when it comes to broken families. Everyone gets battle fatigue going through the process and children get more and more confused by the to and fro state of affairs and sometimes even thinking that they are the cause of it all.

The Bible says that when you made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life you have no need to worry about anything for God said that he will take care of us.so what if china takes over the world. My God is in control. my God will never leave me nor forsake me. My future is in my God. and without him I have no future. if you want to know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour Prayer this simple prayer Lord Jesus I ask that you be my Lord and Saviour come into my life and be my King. I think that less funding should be given to private schools and hospitals should have adequate equipment and hospital beds especially when COVID-19 is still an issue. And having a degree can't guarantee you a job. I wish that the government would offer free courses for people who are struggling to get jobs.

I never uses Ancestry.com before is because I don't too much about my family and where they came from. To me I would like to use Ancestry.com to find out who are my family is and where they a came from.

I had a flu and was cough and can't to work in the pass. I had a boss them made to take to management why i was sick they tell me you needed to go to work. So my father made each time go to work. They is one at work get 100 or more a years sicking plus holiday. Noone say nothing. Always one rule one and others as well. Law be if don't take sicks be pay out.

The top three tennis players should have been treated the same as the rest. I agree the top players do have greater bargaining powers but the government shouldn't have allowed it to happen.

Being a passenger in a car when the drivers going alongside a semi trailer, talk about shake rattle and roll.

I maximise the use of membership cards as much as possible. Get bonus points for buying certain products and every once in a while redeem free samples of new products.

I only get frustrated when I knock my beer over and it spills onto my breakfast cereal. It makes them taste a tad odd.

Neither my children nor my grandchildren went into care. When needed, my children were looked after by my parents. When needed, my grandchildren are looked after by me. Just recently my grandchildren told me that when I can't look after myself I will be going to live with them. I thanked them and said we will discuss that when the time comes.

I joined the Heart Foundation walking group in my local area in late December so i am ready for my first early morning weekly walk on 7 December. Yep, not go overboard but definitely take the steps I should have taken years ago to slow down the decline that comes with old age.

Of course money buys Justice. Money can buy anything, anybody & power & that includes the Police, Magistrates, Juidges, Politicians. How often have we heard an accused person being treated with kid gloves because if the "reputation" - that simply menas they have money to buy their freedom.. If you are poor you haven't a hope in hell of getting Justice. Just look at how some of the Wealthiest Organisations in the World, such as the Roman Catholic, Anglican, Lutheran, Islamic, Jewish religious businesses got away with so much Child Sex Abuse until the outcry from the Public became too loud to ignore. They were all responsible for covering-up and protecting 1000s of paedophiles and they were also responsible for "Murder from a distance" - some call it Suicide, the 10s of thousands of lives they destroyed and they asll got away with it because those orgnaisations had the money to buy protection starting with the Police and then all the way up to the highest courts in the country.

I have not had an alcohol drink in over a year. As I have coeliac disease I am reluctant to have any thing. I do feel like some now and again but walking the dog helps to relax me so I do not need alcohol. $600 is a lot of money on alcohol. You could save that money and when lock down eases you could go on holiday. I also feel that the preservative in alcohol is not good for our body.

I do not dwell on it. I go about my house and do opinion polls, watch a bit of TV, take my dog for a walk, housework, etc. What's different. Never been all that social so I don't miss that. All these people who are treating this virus as nothing though make me angry. It's not a conspiracy, it's nothing to do with 5G, it's not made up, I am from another culture so don't understand, and worse the ones who think they can do what they want. I get angry at the ones who think they are beyond the rules and actually spread the virus to innocent people who have been doing the right thing. We have it here in Queensland again and it looks like it has spread from a few people who thought they could do as they please lying and crossing the border after leaving Victoria. Personally, I feel now as there is plenty of information out there and if people flaunt the rules and people get sick or worse die they should be made accountable with heavy fines, jail and charges of murder in the case of a death linked back to t

The Dog art! It's really good!

Corvids and Parrots are the smartest birds because they have evolved high-density forebrain neuron clusters rivaling primate cognition.

Three rolled into one! Sounds very tasty, I'd sub tofu/tempeh/soy curls for the prawns, to keep Sponge Bob Square Pants happy, but still ... yum!

Wowser , will be right over , I'll bring desserts ,😋😋😋🍽️🍽️🍰

Easy to make and I have an old recipe for applesauce loaf and I just substituted grated lemon peel and lemon juice for the applesauce which I used only a tablespoon of it and added some blueberries to the dough. Yummy!

Freaky coincidence story.....My Nanna had a gorgeous pot plant at her front door for many years. She cherished and nurtured it. One day it got knocked off (stolen). She was devastated. Moving right along, about 10 years later she was at the local market and saw another of those plants she used to have. She ummed and ahhed about purchasing it and finally did. She took it home to repot it as it was rather rootbound. She found her front door key in the pot. It was the very one that had been pinched from her!!

In the words of my school cooking teacher ' scones are friendly! ' So when you bake them ,arrange them on the tray next to eachother . When they begin to rise they will lean on eachother and keep their shape.

Perogies are the best. Haven't had them in a few years, but, when I do them I'll make a dozen. Boil them first. Then pan fry them with onions and bacon! I then add sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder at the end. Serve them with sour cream and diced green onions on top. SO GOOOOOD.

Jelly fish and roast duck salad is delish. Sliced and pan fried pig's testicle are NOT ! Working in kitchens, I've been forced to try many different foods I would never usually touch . Of course less than a square mm is enough for my sensitive palate to gauge whether I like it or not;)

Cost of living isn't an issue for me because I spent years working in production kitchens preparing meals. Food production itself is easy and low cost. No need for the flashiness you see on cooking shows. 🍻

Here we go again... Anti-German sentiment created "Clive built vs Jerry built" but in reality, German engineering was better. Made in Japan was a slur created by Americans because NOTHING can be better than US built or produced but, again Japanese products are better. Made in Taiwan was also a slur for "poorly built and manufactured" and I must tell you that many high end components of everything that is manufactured actually comes from there. Today's slur is obviously "Made in China" but if you went there, you would have your eyes opened as they are way ahead in tech etc and have been for decades. Like every other place, all countries have good and bad products. All countries also get products and components from other countries or, indeed have other countries manufacture things on their behalf so does it really matter where the product is from? Dear Apple snobs, your phones are made in China. ROFL.

Music was very important back in the 60s 70s 80s and 90s...the people making it AND those who broadcasted it..sometimes at high risk...and those that were buying it thought (or hoped) that they could really change the world..but music's power has been quietly and successfully totally dismantled and then crushed...AND all of its important messages too...well done...no-one even noticed did they?...God save democracy...we are free...right?...so now we have empty and/or pointless vacuum of lyrics again...and now we only rent it...so they can withdraw a song if they don't like it....nice....what song? ...JUST like Russia...nothing past 1990 will be remembered...2001 is my cutoff point....and they will attempt to remove all signs of resistance....and wlll be successful..1984..."imagine a boot stamping on your face"...it makes me personally so angry...but hey enjoy......if you aren't interested in resistance .....they have won

I also cook corned beef silver-side in the slow cooker but cook it in a small bottle of ginger ale just make sure that there is enough ginger ale to cover the meat while cooking. And cook cauliflower and white sauce and mashed potatoes. It is one of my husbands favorite meals. I don't eat meat.

I eat 1/2 cup Fiber One cereal daily for the fiber, but I do add 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, 10-12 lightly salted roasted almonds, and a dash of cinnamon with 1/2 cup of milk! 🥰

That sounds good! By coincidence, I was going to buy a can of creamed corn but then figured what would I do with it? This answers that question, so now I'll buy it.

It's cold out there in Sydney and hot chicken soup with french tarragon and onion will be just right!! . . . Thank you Liane

"Jest plain old inter sex jealousy". If you look back in history and we had been given the chance we might have helped with some of the messes men have made in the troubles and wars of yesteryear!

Absolutely disgraceful. Higher risk of post natal depression and undiagnosed versions of it ... Why put so much pressure on new mums ? Day 3 is the worst day after birth for the baby blues to set in and milk production to come in properly ,then complications can arise ... that is all just after a natural childbirth!

I quite often get ‘oops! It’s not you, it’s us’ and almost always at the end of the survey😖. Time wasted and points lost. And, they have our information. High scoring surveys too, I might add!

Had both, don't care what sex so long as they are fair and have no favourites whose work I end up doing as well as my own.

There was a discussion on the radio the other day about kids "wanting" to do various activities, the parents paying for it, and then the kid quickly pulling out again ... sports, dancing, scouts / girl guides, horse riding, etc. Before paying any full term / year fees (often non-refundable because you're taking up a spot and the classes cannot start again to catch-up a later fill-in), you should find somewhere that either offers pay-per-lesson prices or even gives a free trial. That way you can find out if the kids *really* wants to do it or not before paying out huge piles of money.

It depends on things such as, are you working, do you have children under 18, how old are you? It never seems to be a realization that of those who do these surveys, many are at home due to health or age and therefore we can't answer the questions asked.

I don't have children. Don't know if men go thru psychologically and physically changes when they become a parent! However, the articles I have read (written by scientists) state that "Gay Parents May Be the Best Parents". Gay parents tend to be more motivated, more committed than heterosexual parents on the average, because gay parents chose to be (come) PARENTS.

No. There are too many laws now giving preference to everyone. We are all equal & should have equal rights.

considering no one has been there, then NO...Ask yourself..Has anyone been to the moon??? Since apparently 1969. Ask yourself this. Who filmed that moon walk? LOL LOL LOL . I am on a fence here

There are far more serious issues that concern me in this world than someone leaving rubbish in a trolley.

It is sad to say that though companies love to say how inclusive they are and how much they don't tolerate bullying that they do nothing when things are reported and even going higher up the chain of command does nothing. Your options are then: 1/ Report the matter to the government authority for action 2/ Tolerate it 3/ Resign Not fair but this is life and it is sad to say nothing changes.

Live every day like it is going to be your last day above ground, because at some unknown point - it is going to be your last day above ground!

I married and didn't change my last name. I keep my father last name and i am happy. My husband understood why i keep my last name is my father. In the end a last name is just a name. If you want to change or not its up to boths.

Too many apartment buildings going up in our area. We are close to the city and now the lovely old houses that are on larger blocks being torn down to replace with ugly apartment buildings. They will never last as long as these houses have and what is even harder to take is that all the lovely old trees are being cut down. It will soon be a concrete jungle. These buildings de-humanise the area and within a short time look dirty and shabby.

In a good month I might get around $90 which is around $3 a day. Looks like the person was trying to get people to sign up with his link so he could earn referral points. That would be why he removed it because Rewardia would be able to track who it was by the referral link.

This is a common theme throughout history: elderly people think that youths are wayward, youths think that the elderly are grumpy, every generation seems to be worse than the last. But in the grand scheme of things youths are just being youths and act according to their influence and cultural norms. Here's some good quotes from a few old timers: Socrates: "Children; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. They no longer rise when elders enter the room, they contradict their parents and tyrannize their teachers. Children are now tyrants.” Plato: " No man should bring children into the world who is unwilling to persevere to the end in their nature and education " So in a nutshell, youths are just behaving as they always have. But yes child upbringing is the most important for determining a child's character later in life so if you want good kids then you need to be the best role model for them and the best educator that you can be.

Covid-19 is here to stay just like the flu and pnumonia. There will always be NEW variants of the Covid-19 virus, some more deadlier and some less deadly. In Australia we are told that Omicron is less deadly, however over in the UK and USA some people have died from Omicron; but we must keep in mind there is only a small percentage of people vaccinated within those countries. In Australia, in NSW for several weeks they were averaging around 200 to 350 new Covid cases each 24 hour period, suddenly they are getting over 2000 a day, then the day before yesterday they had over 3000 then yesterday close to 4000. The government is saying that by the end of January 2022 we could be averaging 200,000 a day Australia-wide ( worse than the UK and USA ). With International borders now open, all state borders now open ( except West Australia ) the Omicron is without no doubt going to spread across Australia like wild fire especially now that NSW and Victoria are not enforcing mask wearing and social distancing and NSW not enforcing use of QR codes and these states refusing to go back into lockdown to get it under control because Scott Morrison and Josh Frydenberg are more concerned about the economy. Covid-19 is a virus that continuously changes it's DNA each time it transmits to each person and continues to grow stronger and more contagious. As it changes each time it transmits from person to person, this means that countries that have higher numbers of infections each day are creating NEW strains of the Covid-19 virus. Every country needs to minimise the spread to minimise or end the risks of new strains being created. IF this is not done soon then the Covid-19 virus will become so strong that disinfectent and vaccines will NOT protect us and within 20 years the Covid-19 virus will make the human race extinct. Although the 3rd vaccine booster shot is only providing 30% protection against Omicron, we ALL need to be fully vaccinated to give us at least some protection because Governments around the world are no longer taking steps to control or contain the virus because they are now all more concerned with the economy

This one was definitely a nightmare...I ended up going back to live with my ex husband! I've had nothing to do with him for the last 25 years.

Judging from the number of ads and commercials featuring diamonds, I would have to say that diamonds are still the preferred choice for engagement rings.

I left him as soon as I found out that he was not really a girl. However I have to admit that he was the prettiest girl at the party.

Just wasted my time on LI-Q7MC5Y worth 1350 points. I spent 30 minutes on it and I was right at 96% of the survey (the progress meter was in full display), and then it told me I was screened out. No point contacting Support as they are useless. They will just write to tell you that yes they have checked with the survey company and you do not qualify. Why let me go through the whole survey then?

If you go to a laundromat once a week for 2 years ($8 x 52 wks x 2 = $832) A good new washing machine will cost $800, then after 2 yrs the washes are free. The machine will probably last for 20 yrs. If you go to a laundromat once a week for 20 years ($8 x 52 wks x 20 = $8320) Buy a washing machine!

Oui oui!! Said with great gusto as it's always unexpected. Have completed and received tasty points for 2 this very week. "Celebration Time Come on!".

Apropos your last sentence I heard today the new abbreviation is “mpox”. A few years ago I heard of a woman who was mortified when she found out the LOL she put on a “with sympathy” card did not mean “lots of love”.

It's like everything else in nature, it changes. Some years we have lots of snow or frosty mornings. Some years we have lots of rain. Years of droughts and years of floods. Look back at history and you'll see Egypt had droughts then floods. It's just a natural cycle. However, when it comes to damage that is purely due to population. We have always had hail storms. I have photo's of me as a child holding huge hail stones, but back then there wasn't much damage. About 6 years ago a hail storm went through and our house fared pretty well but a new suburb that had just popped up and had 4 houses per quarter acre instead of 1 copped it badly. All you could see was blue tarps over roofs, and they were there for months with not enough tradesman and insurance companies trying to assess the damage. The storm was no worse than usual but there were far more homes than previously.

I just got a partial upper plate but wasn't ready for the lack of taste and texture. Not having the food on your palate takes that. You still taste, but it's not as intense. I actually cried when they told me. So I understand your hesitancy. The one question I'll ask is; Is it necessary for you to eat properly and still have healthy gums and teeth? If so, keep your teeth for as long as possible,

In the 1950s and 60s we used to listen to the Saturday football (what is now AFL) on the radio. We thought all our Christmases had come at once when it was played – of course in black and white - on television.

Embarrasing..i was rushing to get a workvisit kit and left the Hospital car with the brake off- came back and it had rolled into a handrail. ThankGod it didn't hit anyone. Also left handbrake off when rushing our newborn pups into vets for checkup. Dented car and didn't want to tell hubby and managed to sneak it to panelbeaters and get it back next day fixed without him knowing. Er there's been a few other handbrake incidents too. I try to avoid parking on hills or slopes these days.

As a motorbike rider, all drivers are the devil to me/us.. I am highly trained and always ride within my limits. I ride to the conditions. If I overtake or pass, I do it quickly and with great thought. I do not want to be anywhere near cars or trucks. Of couse this is said in hindsight, but bike riders know what I am talking about.

Last year I was wandering through Coles supermarket and saw a Stingray plant. It has big green, glossy leaves which are round with a long green tail - just exactly the shape of a Stingray. I just had to have it.

Sadly there are so many secrets kept that some of us got intrigued too delve deeper then we find out things we didn't really want too know bit were maybe always suspect about

Men have become more feminine. I personally don’t like it. We need men to teach the next generation of boys how to act like a man and treat women with respect.

Lollies, a BIG bag of Mixed Lollies. I am strong willed and can resist buying them but once open the pack just like magic poof, they disappear!

All these rap songs are so hard to understand or full of anger or foul language. Some may like it but who remembers any of these so called songs. Many of the 60's music is still played everywhere these days. Some are classics. There are a few songs these days which are good but it seems a lot are sung with nasally whiney voices and again hard to understand. If it is not sung in this fashion then we have to put up with women dressed skimpily and gyrating across the screens. I do not think there is much talent being shown
